Vale Forever – The Vale Forever Fund Campaign continues to advance thanks to the generosity of our congregation. We announced this special effort just one month ago and have already reached $400,000 (80%) of our $500,000 phase one goal. Many thanks to all of you who have already stepped forward with your support, as well as those who are prayerfully considering what you may do. For more information, click here
Bingo Night – On May 4th, you are invited to join the youth group for their Bingo Night fundraiser event! Join us in the Vale Fellowship Hall from 4-6pm for Bingo, a bake sale, and raffle. Donations will support youth who want to attend the Harvest of Hope mission trip this summer, as well as future youth endeavors. This is open to all – Vale, COF, friends, neighbors, and all Bingo enthusiasts! Let us know you plan to attend here.
Woman’s Bible Study – The Women’s Bible Study group will be reading “How We Learn to Be Brave” by Mariann Edgar Budde beginning May 2 from 9:30-10:30 am. You are invited to join us in reflecting upon how our beliefs should motivate us to respond in uncertain times. This study shares biblical foundations, history, personal experience, and pop culture to direct our responses. The study will be 8 weeks long, beginning with the introduction on May 2. If you would like to join us, please contact Joanna Dietz at [email protected] and she will send you the Zoom link for this online study.
The Closet – Our next volunteer day at The Closet is Thursday, May 8. We are asked to volunteer a total of 12 hours of manpower. Shifts are 10-1 and 1-4 pm. This is a great opportunity for high school students who are out of school and want service hours to participate. There are plenty of fun and easy jobs. If you can help out, please sign up here, or on the Missions board in the hallway. If you have questions contact Nancy Abramson at [email protected]
Tree Sales Debrief – For all who participated in our tree sales, thank you! If you have thoughts on ways we can improve these activities, please join us on Thursday night, May 15 at 7:00 pm for an evaluation and reflection. If you have any questions, ask Mike Martin at [email protected]
