Community Connections Weekend – June 20-22, join Vale and Community of Faith for a weekend of spiritual growth! We will have a block party cookout on Friday with guest speakers and learning opportunities for all ages. Saturday will be a day of service with multiple hands-on ways to serve in our community in the morning or afternoon. Finally on Sunday, we will have a worship service at Frying Pan Park at 10 am. Registration opens on May 11, $10 per person or $30 per family. We hope you will join us! Find the flyer with more information to include registration here
Flood Buckets –One of the service events for our Community Connections weekend (June 20-22) is to pack 100 flood buckets (filled with cleaning supplies) for victims of natural disasters. The packing will be done at Vale on Saturday, June 21. The buckets will then be delivered to the UMCOR warehouse to be distributed as needed. The cost of supplies per bucket is about $75.00. Donations to support this important outreach would be greatly appreciated. We have set up a PushPay link to make it easy. If you have any questions, you can contact the church or Linda Chrosniak, Missions chair. Mike Martin has graciously agreed to oversee much of this event, as he did in the fall. Preschool Registration – Registration for Vale’s preschool is now open to all families! The registration fee is $150. To register, or for more information, contact Diane Willard at preschool@valechurch.org
Vale Forever – The Vale Forever Fund Campaign continues to advance thanks to the generosity of our congregation. We announced this special effort just one month ago and have already reached $400,000 (80%) of our $500,000 phase one goal. Many thanks to all of you who have already stepped forward with your support, as well as those who are prayerfully considering what you may do. For more information, click here
Sunday School Help Wanted – Are you interested in working with Vale’s children? We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to spend an hour on their Sunday mornings to help teach our Children’s Sunday School class. Materials and curriculum are provided.
