Second Story Meals – Vale provides dinner once a month for teens in crisis staying in the Second Story Emergency Shelter in Vienna. Volunteers are needed to cook and deliver (or order takeout and have it delivered) for 4-12 people on April 23, May 28 and August 27. Please sign up here. The meal should include the main course and sides (beverage is provided by Second Story). Dessert is optional but much appreciated! You will need to call Second Story the day before for the exact number of meals needed, contact Jan Feeney at jrmfeeney@aol.com or 571-217-6172 for their unlisted number, or with any questions.

Christmas Tree Planning – On Thursday, April 25 at 7pm we will be having our first meeting to plan our Christmas tree sales for 2024! These meetings will continue on the first Thursdays of every month. If you are interested in helping out in any way, come join us to discuss! Yard Sale – The Vale Yard Sale is coming up! On Saturday, June 1, come find bargains on clothes, toys, electronics, books, household items, kitchenware, upscale boutique items, and more! If you have been hoarding, or just want to spring clean, we will begin accepting donations starting on May 27.

Lost and Found Clearing – Any items left in the lost and found by May 27 will be donated to the yard sale. Please check if you have misplaced any water bottles, glasses cases, gloves, etc.

Youth Group – Vale Youth Group is meeting on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month from 5-7pm in the youth basement. Any youth currently in 6th through 12th grade is invited to join, and friends are welcome too! We will spend time in fellowship, study, worship and service over the course of our time together. Vale VBS – Would you like to see Vacation Bible School happen at Vale this summer? We are seeking volunteers that have a variety of gifts to support a VBS program. If you would like to serve and be part of the team providing spiritual growth for children, talk to Miracle or email her at valedcym@gmail.com.

Preschool Registration – Vale UMC Preschool registration for Fall 2024 is now open to all families. Registration will open to new families on January 18, 2024. Please tell your friends, family and neighbors to come register! See the preschool bulletin board across from the preschool classrooms for registration forms, email Diane Willard at preschool@valechurch.org, or check our Preschool page for information.

Sunday School Help Wanted – Are you interested in working with Vale’s children? We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to spend an hour on their Sunday mornings to help teach our Children’s Sunday School class. Materials and curriculum are provided. Worship Services: We currently offer a virtual service at 8:30 am, and one in person service at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary
